Armed with the knowledge that there would always be an excuse to ignore the plight of the moment, organizers wanted a name that made a statement. They wanted a name that embodied the emotion of that fateful meeting. They wanted a moniker that said, nothing will hinder us from helping ourselves, not the bureaucracy of an ineffective system, not the shallowness of a selfish spirit, nor the negative whispers of naysayers. Simply put they resolved that no matter the cost or obstacle, they would “just do it”. What ever needed to be done, “just do it”. So the only name that seemed to fit was Just Do It.It was an ambitious undertaking. Most community organizations had one primary focus. To take on several issues simultaneously was rare.  Undaunted, they pressed on. Since its inception, the agency has brought to fruition many valuable programs including: job placement programs, youth retreats, and various community outreach programs.Now with new leadership for a new generation, Just Do It seeks to build upon the foundation that was laid over a decade ago. We seek to whose mission and purpose are as relevant today as they were over a decade ago.
